Really Nobody Here :)

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Ok, I scheduled this post for today but forgot about it and never put in the content, only the title.  So the previous post popped its little head up with just ‘Nobody Here’. Come on, I had to keep it there for the ironic factor. :)

Anyway, I wanted to point out this great site I stumbled upon yesterday.  ‘Nobody Here’ is a collection of weird and wonderful little flash projects and other strange things by Jogchem Niemandsverdriet.

I’m very puzzled as to how Mr Nobody’s mind works, but I love it.  There seems to be an unending list of projects on here to delight and weird you out for hours.  Warning: You will get no work done for about half an hour if you visit this site.

The chat experience is something completely new!  You become a cute little spider in a sink [above] and you can talk to other little spiders who are on the site while you scuttle about.  Great stuff :)

The toes dream is pretty weird along with the chewing gum table, but my favourite has to be the bed one [below] where you follow a tired body about the bed trying to poke him to wake him.  I think it’s my favourite as I am this person :)

Great site Jogchem!

Simpson Fanboys

Great look at Apple through Simpson glasses.

I really want a pair of ‘MyPhonies’ now :)  Also check out ‘Steve Mobs’ below with some references to the 1984 Macintosh advertisement.

A sneak peek behind a creative farm

A sneak peek behind an award winning Creative Farm in the South West.

The South West produces some of the UK’s finest creative work (animation, web design, design, fashion, architecture….) Now you know why….nice conditions, space to breathe and opportunities with some of the best firms around.

Have you ‘Extreme Stumbled’ yet?

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

I’d like to think I have an extreme lifestyle.  Sometimes I run up stairs really fast and get a little dizzy and I have been known to eat something that’s a day out of date.

Another one of my daredevil hobbies is ‘Extreme Stumbling’ [I think I may have coined a phrase there].

How to Extreme Stumble

Basically hold down cmd [ctrl on pc] + click like a madman on the ‘Stumble’ button on the StumbleUpon toolbar, opening loads of new pages in tabs.  I find this method of stumbling to be far superior than the regular boring method of one at a time.  Come on, that’s for sissies.

Extreme Stumbling is an inspiration overload!  It’s also a great way of seeing how much decent content you usually get in comparison to inspirational posters.

Rules

  • Keep hitting ‘Stumble’ until someone in the office looks to see what the noise is or until your finger falls off [My record is 113 open tabs]
  • Go through each tab one at a time.  Don’t be skipping ahead now!
  • Don’t close the browser until you have seen all tabs

Guaranteed to get:

  • An annoying sound/music playing from one tab that you cannot find
  • At least one naked lady
  • Inspired like hell

Rare

  • Finding your own site
  • Finding a duplicate

Anybody else do this or is it just me?
