Ah, there’s always that awful brainstorming session the night before a huge presentation where you try to think of an original idea to be the most remembered of the day.
I think Bill is on to a winner here. He released a swarm of live mosquitoes on a TED audience! In an effort to illustrate the plight of malaria, Bill released the insects saying ‘Not only poor people should experience this’.
As usual it was Twitter that broke the news to me. I honestly watch the trending topics more than regular news now.
You have to admire Gates’ attention grabbing method! It’s clear that this stunt has delivered a global message far beyond the confines of the conference, through social media. I’d say Bill is well aware of the wave of controversary it would cause accross the interwebs.
