How Much Wood Can A Macbook Chuck?

Want to stand out even more when pulling your MacBook out at that next conference?  Check out these wooden covers.

macbook wooden cover

Wooden Laptop Case with leather lining and magnetic closing device for Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro 15inch.

How great do these look?  A polished wooden cover just puts another level to Apple’s class.  They have been created by Berlin based furniture, interior and exhibition designer Rainer Spehl. You could think practically that they would weigh a ton, but come one, your MacBook deserves it.  No price listed on the site, you have to contact Rainer directly if you wood like one.

It’s great to see people are branching out into different styles. Hehe.

Oh God, now the comments are just going to consist of wood puns. :)

hehe they look pretty cool though .. and while I realise that if I ever want to be a ‘real’ designer I’d only use Macs … Asus recently brought out a Bamboo series which is cased in Moso Bamboo paneling that looks even better!

Very snazzy. If only I had a Macbook to go with one of them…sigh

  6. I don’t usually reply to posts but I will in this case. I loved your take on things, not that I agree with everything you posted, but I did find it interesting to read. Cheers!

Indeed, beautiful. I particularly dig the way the lid and the front panels are made from one piece of wood, which makes the grain match when its closed.

Now I only need a Macbook ;-) And a shoulderstrap, indeed.
